Baldur's Gate II

I didn't play the original Baldur's Gate but decided to jump in to the Baldur's Gate II because I didn't expect much from a very old game. But it's been only a few hours into the game now, may be less than 10 hours. I already feel like I was very wrong, this thing is far more interesting and engaging than I ever expected. I really love its realtime and pause kind of gameplay, I don't think I've ever played something like this. I've played most of the popular games after 2000. But I didn't pay much attention to games like this before, because those didn't look very nice. But now I understand how important a good script is to make a game interactive and much more interesting to play. I am new to role playing games anyway, I have only played few rpgs before like, 'The Witcher', 'Mass effect', 'Elder Scrolls', 'Fallout' and 'Chrono trigger'. To be honest I think the best rpg I've ever played is the Baldur's Gate II.

And I hope to try some more new rpg games just because I fell in love with this game. Well but still I am not sure if I want to go for turn based rpgs because I hate to just wait for each and every one to do something when it comes to combat. I feel like realtime with pause is the perfect speed when it comes to combat. Do you guys think the same or prefer the turn based combat? if so why? May be it's because I haven't played real DnD? I am not quite sure about that.

And I didn't play the original fallout too. I only played fallout games came after 'Fallout 3', and now I am curious to try the original one. May be I will be able to expect even more than those modern games too. Hope those original ones are better written, I no longer care about their graphics because it doesn't matter, a good and interactive story along with a living world is all what matters. Well, at least for me. Can't wait to play more of Baldur's Gate II.

Hope you guys are alright!
