In fairness, if you had told me six years ago the US would have had a president that is a former reality tv star, a riot started by that president's supporters, and people during a modern pandemic screaming st how basic health and safety measures were impeding on their feedomd I would have told you to try being a little more realistic when writing your dystopian opening to a cyberpunk setting.
Yet here we are. I hadn't commented on this before now because I wasn't sure if it was someone beig sincere or just yanking our collective chain for a laugh.
My kingdom for sarcasm tags goes the refrain that's existed for the past forty years.
