Just getting this thing going, so it's going to be rather boring around here for a while.
In the meantime...
A short introduction, by way of a short list
- I set out to be an artist, but ended up a systems engineer. Oh, I still make art (all the time) but it's not my career.
- AI kind of creeps me out. Maybe it'll turn out OK, but my gut wants to run from it like it's a zombie on fire.
- I've recently built my last computer using new parts. It's recycling/upcycling from here on out.
- I miss the web before it got all buggered up with ads and corporate data collection bots.
- Yes, I'm old enough to remember when Gopher was new, but young enough to be enamered by Gemini.
- My favorite color is octarine - which to my eyes looks a hell of a lot like orange.
- Imaginary numbers are the best.
Anyway ...
I recently setup Molly-Brown on my home system (running Ubuntu 22.04) and it's really cool. I really like it! It took a bit to get it going, but I expected that given how new it still is. If you're trying to do this and running into trouble, here's how I did it. I hope it helps.
