2023-09-20 AuraGem Music Public Radio Updates

AuraGem Music's Public Radio now has multiple stations! There are 4 different stations: Diverse, Mainstream, Classical, and Non-mainstream.

AuraGem Music: Public Radio

• Diverse will play all of the genres at specific time slots.
• Mainstream will play mainstream genres, like Pop, Rock, Acoustic, Cinematic, and World.
• Classical will play Classical as well as Classical-adjacent genres like Jazz, Blues, and Calm Piano.
• Non-mainstream will play Electronic, Lofi, Ambient, and Rock.

These classifications could change in the future. If you have any suggestions on where you think a particular genre should belong, I'm happy to hear!

I have also created schedules for each station which can be seen on their respective Station pages. There is a little bit of overlap between the schedules of some of the stations (particularly the diverse station). These will be reassesed and fixed over time.

Other updates:

• Updated info on supported clients: added diohsc as a supported client, noted that Lagrange AppImage is buggy, and Rosy Crow and Lagrange on iOS and Android are unsupported at this moment in time.
• There's now a total counter for the number of connections to one of the stations, as well as counters for each respective station.
• The radio stations should have much better randomization, and should be guaranteed to not repeat a song in a span of 4 songs (this will be increased later when the service has more music to play).
