This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
BING BINGING BINGO BIONIC BOBBIN BOBBING BOGGING BONBON BONG BONING BONOBO BOOB BOOING BOON BOUNCING BUBONIC BUGGING BUNG BUNGING BUNION CUBIC CUBING GIBBON GIBING
BOUNCING was yesterday's pangram.
BINGING is an alternative form of BINGEING - that was a surprise to me as without the E the G is normally hard, like bing cherry. To GIBE (also JIBE) is to deride or taunt.
GIBBING was a word I missed, but it not related to GIBE, but rather GIB (alas, 3-character words are not allowed); to GIB <something> means to attach or fasten. A GIB is a sort of a rail on which a moving part of a machine may slide on. Also, a hooked prolongation of the jaw of a male salmon or trout during the spawning season (?). I'd be surprised if it's not used to refer to one's penis, somewhere, as it is more literally appropriate than, say, 'knob'...
CUBBING (giving birth to cubs, or possbily working as a cub reporter) was not consistently defined across dictionaries, so I chose to leave it out. I did miss BOCCI, BONGO, BINNING, NOOB, UNBUNG, BOING
Another day.
