This is a gemlog for the SpellBinding puzzle, in which you construct words using the specified letters (each word must contain the anchor letter).
I've been travelling (traveling is also acceptable, although I like to consistently double the l's), and am not keeping up with these word updates. The game has been running unattended. Woot - it seems to work. I still haven't figured out a good way to schedule more than a few games. I'll leave that to my tech gemlog.
HEWER HOWEVER OVERTHREW OVERTHROW OVERWORE OVERWROTE REWOVE REWROTE ROWER THREW THROW THROWER TOWER TWEE TWEER TWEET TWEETER VOWER WERE WETHER WETTER WHEE WHERE WHERETO WHEREVER WHET WHETHER WHETTER WHOEVER WHORE WHORT WOOER WOOT WORE WORTH WOVE WROTE WROTH
This is a larger-than usual puzzle. I like smaller puzzles because they are done and you can get on with whatever else you have to do. Larger puzzles are often repetitive due to groupings of suffixes or prefixes, and this one has both.
-ER ending. I outright outlaw -S plurals, but left -ER as it is not quite as common, and it's a bit of a puzzle to figure out which words can be -ER'ed and which can't (some -ER would-be words are quite amusing). But my dictionary is missing many, such as OVERTHROWER which really belongs here (fixed).
OVER-... We have OVERTHROW, OVERTHREW, OVERWORE, OVERWROTE.
RE- is yet another grouping, and I am sure I missed some in my dictionary. Here we see REWOVE, REWROTE. I missed RETWEET, although I am tempted to exclude it, as it makes me figuratively sick. TWEET is fine, it has its original meaning of 'chirp'.
Then, HOWEVER, WHERE, WHERETO, WHEREVER, WHETHER, WHOEVER. That's a lot right there.
WHET - hone or excite/stimulate. A WHORT is a plant. WOOT is an exlamation of joy. WROTH is very angry. TWEE is affectedly quaint or dainty.
WHORE.
And no food items.
Another day.
