Cooking With CarrotFlight
So I wanna share a neat little recipe I found a while ago. It's Bean Pasta (the website i got it from gave it a fancier name).
Here's a picture of Bean Pasta the last time I made it:
Bean Pasta (2.8 KB)
It's fine to reheat in the microwave, just add a bit of olive oil after it's reheated to get the sauce nice and creamy again
I got the recipe from the link below. It's a great recipe I recommend a few tweaks though:
- Use 500g of _red_ kidney beans, makes the dish more colorful instead of a bland sad grey.
- You don't have to rinse the beans well. Helps the sauce bind better.
- Use a lot of olive oil (there's never enough).
- Use an expensive starchy pasta, makes your sauce bind better.
- Really do make your pasta water salty like the sea. Ideally you won't have to salt later on.
- I love to add very coarsely ground pepper on top, has a nice crunch to it.
