ͻ THROUGH MY EYES Through my eyes I have seen this world Each time it's as if I have never saw it before Always finding something new to make it beautiful I have seen it through the eyes of a child A place of wonder and knowledge So secure with the love of a mother and a father Then once more I saw my world as a teen No longer could it teach me anything For I thought I knew it all I'm now looking through eyes of a lover And everything is so beautiful Especially the man who gives me this love As a new mother my eyes, oh what they see I now see that this world has a lot to teach me And in turn I must become the teacher My eyes are old and have seen it all From war to peace, birth to death, and everything in between Now I will close my eyes for the last time, no more will they see (c)Catherine Cowan 8/13/92 ͼ
