Since I live in 'murica the F word gets used in abundance. Freedom is what we stand for. Unfortunately we've decided over the years that there are things that we're not free to do. I also belive that this stems from too many laywers, but I digress.
Case in point for tonight, the eve of Memorial Day. The day where we remember those fallen during and after various conflicts. Must the random citizen set off fireworks? The state I live in barely allows fountains and sparklers for normal non-licensed and non-permitted pyrotechnics. I know this is for the saftey of the unfortunate idiot who'll blow their hand off, and fire saftey etc. Memorial Day is supposed to be a solemn day of rememberance.
People still tend to think that any American holiday is the equivalent of the 4th of July or New Years. Everyone wants to set off fireworks. Why? because they want to excersise their freedom.
But wait, that's illegal!
Yeah, unfortunately law enforcement likes to pick and choose laws that they want to enforce. What a joke.
Fortunately, the dogs and my Daughter weren't bothered tonight.
I don't know why, I haven't seen any activity since last week, but something piqued my curiosity of the empty nest.
We have 3 new eggs! I guess the birds are giving it another go!
Also, it appears that the baby doves have fledged and left the nest!
