spanish rice

indgredients

- 2 lbs     - ground beef, browned [1]
- 2         - onions, chopped [2]
- 2         - green peppers, chopped [2]
- 28 oz can - can tomato sauce
- 8 oz can  - tomato sauce
- 1 c.      - long-cooking rice, uncooked [3]
- 1 c.      - water
- 2½ t.     - chili powder
- 2½ t.     - salt
- 2 t.      - Worcestershire sauce

[1] draining is optional

[2] same or smaller than diced tomatoes

[3] long-cooking rice means eg brown rice

directions

Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker.

Veggie on bottom, meat on top.

Do NOT stir.

Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours,

or on high setting for 3 to 4 hours.

Stir halfway thru.

Serves 6.

notes

rice did not cook to completion when stirred at very start.

check whether can be cooked by placing at bottom and stirring midway, otherwise pre-cook.

was too meaty, perhaps cuz walmart only carries above 2 lbs ground beefs and i used the whole 2.45 lbs.

retry with only 1 lb.
