Personally ive always been okay with station not having DMs. It encourages users to connect through more private and secure means of communication like email or xmpp. DMs add alot of complexity and are a potential security headache since alot of station users are privacy advocates who want their private conversations to be encrypted somehow. Station is a simple service that does a simple job: having a public feed for everyone to post on. Asking much more that that would turn it into a shitty twitter clone 路 8 months ago
