This is a wordlog for the SpellBinding puzzle (in which you construct words using the specified letters; each word must contain the anchor letter).
Yesterday's words:
AGOG AGONY AHOY AMMO AMONG ANNOY ANON ANONYM GAMMON GNOMON GONG GOOG GOON GOONY HOMO HOMONYM HOMY HOON MAHOGANY MANGO MANO MOAN MOMMA MOMMY MONO MONOGAMY MONOGYNY MONONYM MOON MOONY NONAGON NONGAY NOON YAHOO YOGA
Pangrams: MAHOGANY
Missed: OOGAMY, HOMOGAMY
This puzzle had both HOMO and NONGAY. I suspect there are a few more -GAMY and -GYNY words, and probably a few more HOMO- and MONO- words, too. I don't really want to expand the dictionary with too many jargon words, though.
GAMMON was a bit of a stretch when I looked up the definition, especially as a verb, but whatever, it's kind of cool.
GNOMON (n) the pin of a sundial.
GNOMON is the word that propelled me to build this game - or the frustration with the NYT puzzle lacking this word.
Another day.
