About Aversion
Aversion has a magic system which is based on 3 premises, given to me in a university writers club meeting
- Must use logical or mathematical proofs to cast
- Some spells have unknown outcomes and the outcome can only be discovered by attempting to solve (like those famous lists of incomplete proofs)
- Magic is tied to tides and sea level
Aversion essentially updates as it is written. I have no editor whatsoever. I have a general idea of what I want to do, but no set direction for the story to take. As the story expands, I might add some lore documents to the capsule. I occasionally go back and correct spelling and grammar, or make other minor alterations.

Glossary
It seems I've created a bit of a vocabulary, as science fiction often calls for. I wanted it to be mostly self-explanatory, but as it got more esoteric I decided to make a glossary for my own reference as well as any reader who'd like clarification. I'm trying to put this list in order of first story appearance / use.
- Mathamania: a corporation, fighting tournament, and physical location all under the same ownership, specializing in magic gladiatorial combat
- Calculesium: similar to Mathamania, but defunct.
- Modus ponens: a logical axiom. if A implies B and A is true, B is true. As a spell, can bend the fulfillment of one condition for a phenomenon occurring, into the fulfillment of all conditions for the phenomenon occurring.
- Negation: a fundamental operation of boolean algebra, or binary logic. If A is true, the negation of A is false. As a spell, it is used to deflect other spells
- Kataraxian: an alien species
- Northwest Province: a richer-than-average region in the northwestern corner of the continent, coastal and consists of several powerful allied city-states.
- Clean-gene: an insult used by mutant humans about non-mutant humans. Appeared in response to the anti-mutant slur 'grease-gene'. Not a slur, though some non-mutants take it as one.
- Daba: endearing term in mutant parlance. literally means 'Shield', typically used for somebody older or more powerful than the speaker, such as a parent, older sibling, teacher, or superior
- Drolloid: a slur for mutant humans; implies the mutations are so extreme they are humorous.
- Dasi: endearing term in mutant parlance. literally means 'Quiver', typically used for somebody younger or weaker than the speaker, such as a child, younger sibling, student, or underling
