Happy New Year!
Rachel, Astrid, and I are going to spend the day relaxing. No shopping,
no destinations, no visitors. We're quiet people who like our quiet life.
My original plan was to make biscotti today, using one of the many
biscotti recipes I downloaded and printed out 20+ years ago. However, the
spice shelf is devoid of anise extract, almonds (chopped or otherwise),
and anisette... so the biscotti will have to wait until tomorrow. I've
got my heart set on one particular recipe, so I'm good with waiting.
Besides, we still have enough goodies left over from Christmas which we
should polish off...
