Adventures in mid-life: Going to work

~mouse

I've been working from home virtually for the last 2 2/3 years.

Had to go into 'the office' today and due to having a new car I had to take the train. (Where I work cars have to be registered for access.)

Not been on a train in this country for well over a decade. Changed a bit from Brunel's day.

I think I need to get out more...

Bartender, drinks and nibbles all around.

Have a good one!

Here in Washington, DC, the trains have been terrible. One of them derailed about a year ago and they pulled 70% of the fleet. Still have yet to replace them on the lines I ride.

Glad it went smoothly enough, ~mouse. Hope the in-office day went well too!

I miss taking the "Metro North" into NYC. Never for work, though, as I worked locally then. Just for the joy/excitement of the NYC of then.

What a shame it's these days reportedly mostly a place to go to get violated. I mean, not that I believe "the media" (see also: "The Make Shit Up For Profit Industry") much anymore. But such devolution is pretty easy to imagine in this part of the world, so....

I use the train almost every day. Your experience is already much better than mine :P
