He's a very interesting guy who treats fiction as avenues to possible realities, and tries to access these realities through various (read: psychedelic, bohemian, ancient soothsaying) means, and records what he sees in an interpretable form to us.
I think he also might believe that he influences or creates these realities, and that they in turn influence and create him, a bounded god of sorts.
I don't agree with all he says, but I do like that he tries to see beyond our reality and pushes many boundaries to do so
