Today I'm really lamenting how fucked society has become. We can really just do without anyone who calls themselves an "influencer" or anyone who's worried about their "personal brand." Fuck all of them.

@tskaalgard Agreed, but we should wake these "influencers" up to the truth of these odious social networking platforms such as Instascam. 路 8 months ago

@kocka_collector I am using the word "influencer" as it is generally understood today: a class of people who make their living by being cool on Instagram and shilling products for their fans to buy. 路 8 months ago

While it is undeniable that certain "influencers" are overall harmful to society at large, one could argue that the term refers to leaders of all kinds, who lead through entertainment. And given the prevalence of such communities that actively focus on improving themselves and the world around them, if this definition is accepted, then the existence of influencers can indeed be a good thing. 路 8 months ago

If you don't look at them, then they don't exist. Really, they're no worse than bad cable-tv shows, and since they don't exist either, society isn't as fucked as it seems. 路 8 months ago
