So, I volunteered to do building lock-up last Sunday. That means that every night this week I need to go up to the church at 10pm and make sure all the doors and windows are locked.
It's an easy job...takes maybe 10-15 minutes. Normally the church seems like a nice inviting place. I was surprised, however, at what my imagination could do when I was the only person (that I know of) walking around the dark, empty building.
It's scary.
If I came around a corner and found someone standing there either my heart would stop or I'd put my fist through their skull. Hard to know what would happen...let's hope I don't find out.
I'm not sure what's so scary, but I find myself turning on the hall lights as I go around and turning them back off as I work my way back.
Yeah, I'm a wimp.
