I recently saw this posted about adding emphsis with the limited markup that gemtext provides.

饾枾饾柈饾柖饾枻饾柕饾枻饾柋, there are math unicode that seems to be able to do roughly the same thing. 饾棢饾椂饾椄饾棽 饾榿饾棽饾槄饾榿 饾椂饾椈 饾棷饾椉饾椆饾棻. 饾槚饾槼 饾槳饾樀饾槩饾槶饾槳饾槫. It's not a perfect system, but I think it works well enough.

It's generally a bad idea to use Unicode math symbols to write anything except math equations. This has been discussed before, for example: gemini://rawtext.club/~sloum/geminilist/007518.gmi

Gemtext is a text-oriented format, so it's important to use all Unicode code points according to their intended meaning, not just by their visual appearance. This way, the text can be understood also via non-visual means like text-to-speech, screenreaders, and language translation services. 路 11 months ago

Also this from Stack Smith you has what I would consider to be an amazing take on "饾懞饾挄饾拏饾拸饾拝饾拏饾挀饾拝饾挃".
