What I have from personal experience is having watched the worship of stupidity - and the denigration/belittling of intelligence it implies - my entire life.
Hard to break free from its web, no doubt. I've never really met a truly stupid person, thought that might be revealing of myself somewhat (heh). We're all experts in our own right, whether it be quantum physics, cloud watching, or knowing the exact strategy to get the national team to score that goal in hindsight after a beer or two.
