When we say "mental illness", do we mean a condition that otherwise healthy mentation could contract, or do we mean there's a certain kind of illness we refer to as "mental", i.e. that mentation is an illness?

Also, it recently hit "me" the word 'imagine' looks an amalgam of 'image' and 'engine'.

An image engine?

The fuel: the stuff dreams - aka images - are made of?

In a manner of typing, of course....

Words are curious, aren’t they.

By making sounds out of one’s own head, you can cause a mental state in some other head.

By printing shapes called “letters” into strings, another who has memorized the meanings of the strings can come into a close approximation of some meaning you want to share- you can cause a mental state in them, this time not by sounds coming out of your head but by those printed shapes.
