Tresses
June 12, 1998 

her tresses were trespass for mercy shallow
and her hollow my hunger just swallowed
fed with old marrow

the cusp crucifies the lovely, the lonely, and villain
longing and stronger the more for your sins
vixen and vanquish

her fashion was naked, a merciless frock
her gray and her soldiers a-romp, stop
mix in and vanish

a crucible prized from dead fingers, no water
my offer for convergence by such measure, her alter pure
did nix and banish
