when I had a name - but my name is shorn from me
thrice spoken to the wind - thrice stolen on the wind
never to be written on my hearth-shore nor shriven to my skin

when I have my name - and my name becomes of me
thrice taken from the wind - thrice listened and ensnared
my broken slate shall mend itself beyond impatient days
