manners, you say, coming under my roof
they have no manners, those queers
that gave me the flag in the upstairs hall
you haven ��t seen yet, not having stretched your legs
not having got up from this table
laid because like me, you were hungry
stopping at my parlor, using my phone
resting in my home because the tow truck
won ��t come this far at night, and there ��s no hotel

manners you say, and ill of will spill venom
back in the glass to your lips, while I refill
oh guest in my house, this goes two ways
you pass the flag and realize, say nothing
or lift your word, knowing

my hat, long brown and dry
awaits your decision
