Twixt Tracts

your hugs would be welcome but guts of loom
would ill repay your intentions of caring
despite sharing is well and truly splendored
these are not those circumstances
careless at best and messy to rusting
dressed however the trust might be
lofting ideals, no peeling from ceiling
that cat-coat of grumbles, those crumbles
of morals at bitter injection, no reeling back in
from those close aspirations, inhaled, exhaled
iron rails ticking, tolling, where inner crossroads
making long the bargain, loom pastiche
loop and return in knots untouching
signal lamps leaching each delight in left, right
redirection promising graduated steps
where all is mud and plenty churning
