God Needs A Sufficient Reason?

Thinking about the Liebnitz quote in [1] the fallacy of Rationalisn jumps off the page at me.

[1] The best of all possible worlds

God has the idea of infinitely many universes.
Only one of these universes can actually exist.
God's choices are subject to the principle of sufficient reason, that is, God has reason to choose one thing or another.
Therefore, the universe that God chose to exist is the best of all possible worlds.

How terribly rational. Scientifically ultra-reductionalist. How demonstrative of the "universe as clockwork to be understood and explained in concrete terms" attitude.

For me, the punchline comes with the notion that God's choices are subject to anything ... that is, if God is a god.
