Good question! It will probably change soon, but so far it goes like this:

• When you click submit, your content gets saved as-is in a local database. No post-processing.

• When you view a post, your content will go through the following pipeline:

* If there's a line break, add a paragraph tag

* If there's a link, replace it with a full link tag
