Cocaine worth €1.1m seized at Dublin Airport, three arrested

Three people have been arrested after cocaine worth more than €1

million was seized at Dublin Airport.

Gardaí and Revenue officers seized approximately 16 kilogrammes of

cocaine with an estimated value of €1.1 million yesterday.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation carried out by

the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue's

Customs Service.

Assistance was also provided by law enforcement agencies in Germany and

South America.

Three men were arrested in the Dublin Airport area in connection with

the seizure and are being held at Blanchardstown and Coolock garda

stations in Dublin.
