Astrology ramblings today, boring

(Making this post just to see how it shakes out at the end of the week and how close I got.)

Mars has moved past uranus but is still square sun-jupiter conjunction right now. I suspect the mars-jupiter square is driving the financial mania wave. Jupiter is the greater benefic but jupiter does have a gluttonous/culty dark side. The square will pass in a few days, but then venus is starting to move through aquarius. There's like a whole train of planets moving through aquarius. On feb 10 there are 6 planets in aquarius. Moon, saturn, venus, jupiter, mercury, sun. That's an overload of aquarius. Poor kids getting born the second week of feb, ouch. (Welcome to earth, you're the loneliest loner and you get to fight your jupiter-saturn-pluto mini-tyrant peers on the playground.) Personally I am very fond of aquarius & uranus - I wish I had more aquarian & uranian influence.

My guess is we're going to see more "power to the people" energy building. These movements keep flaring up and yet not amounting to real change, not healing the true wound. People are getting more and more frustrated with a government that refuses to hear them. GME has given people a naked look behind the class divide curtain, much like the BLM protests and the Capitol insurrection did for justice and law enforcement response. Social media is good for sparking movements but it's also good for seeding doubt and quelling them. There is a war of hidden information and words (that mercury-pluto energy). How will people escalate from here? I suppose partly it will depend on how GME resolves. I couldn't predict. I buy into astrology with the caveat that the universe is like a complicated clockwork of potential energies rising and falling, so depending on the factors at play it could go different ways, like the weather. It's not hardcoded fate, it's just potential. You plant a seed in winter, it won't grow. You plant a seed in spring but forget to water it, it won't grow. Conditions and action have to sync up. You could have the best potential energy ever, but without proper action and initiative it falls flat, or comes out in a wonky way you didn't expect. So I dunno about GME. I'm not interested enough to look up the chart for the stock market and compare.

Shit, now that I've typed this, I am interested ...

Okay, according to wikipedia, trading in New York started May 17 1792. Modern day uranus is transiting conjunct the stock market's venus in taurus (sudden love or money, new money, money or love change, excitement over money), but it's also square saturn in aquarius (hard times, rigid authority, lessons). If this were a person I'd say there's a risk for major breakup or divorce. Broken business partnership. There's also neptune in pisces transiting opposite natal mars in virgo, which implies action getting lost in fantasy. Supposedly humanity isn't advanced enough to understand neptune's energy fully. Tends to come out in negatives like illusion or addiction (think rock stars - talented channels of true human experience but can be vulnerable to drug addictions that alters their consciousness to either drown out the negative, or seek inspiration), but it is a consciousness expanding planet (WTF is consciousness expanding you say, well that's exactly why we can't claim to understand neptune). In modern astrology neptune rules pisces, so this is a strong neptune in its home. Mars is typically selfish and concerned with the individual. Virgo is associated with work and service. I get the impression there is a "nose at the grindstone for my own benefit" mentality that is at cross purposes with humanity's higher calling.

So who gets wrecked? Well, feb 3rd is likely to be a shock because that's when the sun in aquarius transits opposite the stock market's uranus in leo. The interesting thing is the planets are in mutual reception (sun normally rules leo, uranus normally rules aquarius), so there's background cooperation in the struggle (kinda like two lovers using an argument for foreplay - they secretly enjoy being really pissed off at each other and playing the game). Feb 5th, mars in taurus transits to square the stock market's uranus in leo. Rough. That's when the lover's slap fight turns real. Short term financial war. Lot of energy, big changes.

Next: the date of the IPO for Game Stop, february 13 2002 (not a friday). AQUARIUS, ha ha ha. HA HA HA HA, currently jupiter is conjunct GME's neptune. Oh universe, you so funny! Mania and illusion, gifts and consciousness raising! This is GME's jesus event, performing a miracle. GME suddenly becomes a religion for a bit. Even better, shit you not, GME has a very tight sun-uranus conjunction that mercury is transiting. There's a number of planets moving through aquarius so they are tripping over all GME's natal positions in the process. It's an aquarian stock and this is an aquarian moment.

Next: r/wallstreetbets, founded January 31, 2012 (hey, it's their birthday today! Aquarius again.). Guess who gets a sun-jupiter conjunction transiting their sun for their birthday? That's about as beaming as good fortune gets. Popularity, attention. On the downside, saturn transits conjunct their natal mercury, which is square transiting uranus. Loss, lessons concerning communication and authority. Sudden electronic communication problems. Authority threatening independence by hampering communication. On feb 3, transiting venus squares natal jupiter - a short term bad sign, possible legal trouble, overindulgence in money or love. Overconfidence or arrogance. Feb 5, there's something potentially negative with the moon (transiting mars conjunct natal moon, also square transiting sun). Without knowing the actual time when the subreddit was made, position could be off, so it's not reliable. But there could be a harsh emotional element. Venus moves to conjunct saturn (transiting natal mercury as above) - that adds an element of loss of money or love - heartbreak. This doesn't look like smooth sailing.

Next: melvin capital. Started trading dec 11 2014. Transiting saturn is sitting right on their natal mars - saturn is the greater malefic and mars is the lesser malefic, so that's a bad time. Whatever actions they take are getting punished and schooled. Anger. Authority conflicts. Bad judgement, bad action. Feb 5 is really going to sting when Venus joins the mix. That's the "your partner dumped you and your mutual friend group thinks you're the ass" cherry on top. Transiting neptune in pisces square natal sun sagittarius - "Let's get super drunk and start fights about if hell is a real place and if so, are we going there? Then let's have a good cry.". Transiting mercury in aquarius opposite natal jupiter in leo. Communication seems arrogant, spotlight hogging, bluffing, bullying, potential law conflicts, running their mouth off. They have some nice harmonious aspects, though. Transiting mars trine natal pluto - lot of hidden power and drive. Lots of sextiles between planets, so lots of support.

Mercury retrograde now through feb 21. Because that's how the clown universe rolls this year, I guess. Be careful about making big decisions on split second information and rumor - the info might be misleading or false. Technology and internet problems, maybe, since it's in aquarius. Not good for a really important online event such as a whole bunch of people needing to sell stocks at once.

I'm not an astrologer, these are just my broad amateur notes on the coming week. Sounds like wednesday and friday will be exciting, but I've also noticed sometimes the effects of transits will lag behind, like seeing the lightning but having to wait for the thunder. A real astrologer would prob use progressions and have better insights. Knowing moon position, ascendant and houses rely on an accurate time, without that it's like only being able to see half the info. Will be interesting to see how it plays.

I do think the overwhelming aquarian theme will dominate regardless of who ends up "winner" of the GME battle. And aquarius is a sign of the big picture, of independence, philanthropy and humanity as a whole rather than the individual. I also think it bodes well for innovations like cryptocurrency and DeFi - moving forward long term. Power to the people.

Last, for funsies: dogecoin, founded dec 6 2013.

Hilariously, dogecoin's aquarian moon is trapped in a t-square between its north (scorpio) and south (taurus) node. I could drop the mic right there. Dogecoin has a really hard time knowing which way to go!

Venus trine mars - dogecoin is quite likeable. Jupiter in cancer, trine saturn in scorpio. Could be lucky, potentially excellent teaching talent.

Oh no, saturn is going to be transiting conjunct dogecoin's moon soon! Sad times. REALITY. No wow.

Okay I'm not going to look harder into dogecoin because that's how you condition yourself to expect a certain outcome and miss good opportunities. That's why trying too hard to guess the future with astrology or whatever is a bad idea, because your own interpretation biases will screw with you. Just like how the Qultists try to "decode" things to figure out the sekrit plan in the time stamps of twitter posts. Astrology is fun to peek at the patterns, but it's just forecasting potential universe weather. It doesn't say your boat will for sure capsize. It just says there might be some waves so wear your life preserver.
