What?

LibrECM is an idea that's been fermenting in my mind for a couple of months now.
ECM stands for Enterprise Content Management. "Libre" on the other hand is Latin, and one of the two meanings carried by the English word "free".
"Free" can also mean "gratis", which is to say "no monetary cost" while "libre" stands for "unrestricted".
As Stallman put it:

Think free as in free speech, not free beer.¹

While I do plan to commercialize this idea, it's important to me personally to take a moment to focus on this "libre" part.
To be able to both achieve commercial success and to open-source as much as possible is a virtuous but extremely challenging goal for a project to have.
For now, I focus on the former while reminding myself daily about the latter. In case I fail commercially, at least I can fall back to the FOSS part and not think of all the work to have been in vain.

These need to be organized at some point. For now they mostly serve as reminders for myself.
