Random Garbage Loot Table
Roll a d6 when the characters enter a dirty place and pick that many items from the loot table to tell the players about immediately (no skill checks required) this table can also be useful for searching through garbage bins
Great for setting the tone of an area, and laced with short adventure and sidequest hooks
So far, this table has 50 items
- 1: A dirty bong
- 2: 2eb in change
- 3: Fast food wrapperrs
- 4: A crumpled reciept with expired coupons on the back
- 5: Shards of broken glass, deal 1d6/2 damage through armor if touched
- 6: A broken, dirty, pink cyberteen polymer oneshot
- 7: A used needle
- 8: Moldy, half-eaten prepack/kibble
- 9: A losing body lotto ticket from last week (roll an exploding d10 for the number on the ticket)
- 10: A scratchy mixtape with an audio recording of three unsolved murders spliced in between songs (DC 17 criminology/ DC 22 streetwise to recognize where those sounds came from)
- 11: A bent piece of metal with a purpose that the party can't figure out
- 12: 3d6 pistol bullet casings, all with the same serial markings
- 13: A used roman candle
- 14: An empty cheap lighter with a black, ashy stain on the bottom
- 15: Dirty pistol slide with 1d10 tally marks etched onto the side
- 16: Busted light-tattoo machine with glowing green ink on the tip of the needle
- 17: A quarter-full bottle of alcohol (safe to drink on a natural 10 of a 1d10, otherwise applies a random drug effect)
- 18: A mutant beehive, if distrubed DC 15 check to fend off/run away. On failure deal 1d6 damage through armor
- 19: The wallet of a dead corpo, cards deactivated and 150eb in cash. Don't want to get caught with this!
- 20: A pocket photo of a young couple and a baby, glass smashed and photograph sun damaged (DC 12 in some form of investigation tells the players that it must have been caused by nuclear radiation from the nuke)
- 21: Rusted cast-iron pan, one-handed, poor quality, heavy melee weapon
- 22: Aluminum soda can
- 23: 1d6/2 empty boxes of byquil pills(DC 12 streetwise/science/criminology, etc. tells you this is a precursor to dirty Blue Glass)
- 24: A rotting, dismembered human eye, you could swear its staring right at you
- 25: 1d6 folded cardboard boxes
- 26: A microwave generator ripped from a cheap commercial microwave
- 27: Gutted shell of a kitchen appliance (Microwave/Blender/Coffee Maker/etc)
- 28: Gaming controller snapped in half and covered in something sticky (DC 9 of pretty much any investigation tells you it used to be some kind of sweet foodstuff)
- 29: A brown paper bag filled with 10000eb cash, it's a dead drop and if the players take it they will soon meet the gang it was meant for, DC 12 streetwise will tell you this info
- 30: A black plastic device shaped like a keyfob, in reality it is an Arasaka GPS tracker meant to keep tabs on a Militech spy.
- 31: An ash stained, empty fire extinguisher, all the papers attatched have been burned up
- 32: A box of outdated data cords for various electronics
- 33: A piece of gum chewed up and folded into its original wrapper
- 34: A destroyed burner agent
- 35: 1d6-2 (min 1) bloody, dismembered limbs
- 36: 1d6 tied, filled condoms
- 37: A used bottle of spray paint
- 38: 3d6 cans of whipped cream
- 39: A bullet-riddled combat shield (10-1d6 HP)
- 40: Makeshift Metalgear (14 AC, -6 REF, DEX, and MOVE)
- 41: Cracked guitar with 1d6 strings snapped
- 42: Medicinal hypospray, user can spend an action to inject two doses of a drug instead of one into themselves or gain a +4 to injecting drugs into an unwilling participant. Loading the hypospray also requires a turn
- 43: A resin-coated spoon
- 44: A dirty crackpipe
- 45: A broken skateboard
- 46: A good quality couch with bedbugs hiding inside
- 47: Vomit
