I know some of the folk 'ere in the geminispace are old. Like really old.
I have to admit that I don't really know much about these 'first generation' home computers.
My first contact was with an IBM PC. Dad used the machine mainly for his work. I do have a fond memory of him getting very excited about Microsoft Flight Simulator and buying a joystick for us.
We also had an Apple Macintosh Classic. It was also for work: mom used it mostly for writing. There were some great games on the Mac too and I possibly even tried out HyperCard.
My favourite game on the Mac was 'Stunt Copter'.
On the PC (there actually are way too many to list): Alley Cat, Ski or Die, Laser Squad, Formula Grand Prix, Leisure Suit Larry, MS Flight Simulator, Wolfenstein 3D, 'Ironman', Blues Brothers, Star Control II ...
And of course all the clones of popular titles such as: Pong, Pacman, Tetris and Lode Runner.
I'm still looking for some of the games from that era. They might be lost forever because my memory is starting to get so hazy: there is this certain sidescroller that had some kind of destructable block-like environment with pink colors that still very much eludes me (and I'm not even kidding :-D)
