i just want to vent for a minute. i know what i should do is take this up the chain at work but i'm not going to mostly because it'd be a lot of trouble i just don't want to worry about. but i need to vent this before i head home and tell my wife, so here we are walking the stacks. notice a man in there with his mask on one ear -- side note: need to figure out what to call that pose. i tell him, sir need you to put your mask on. (it's state policy, city policy, library policy, multiple policies to wear masks inside) he looks at me and says well i'm six feet away. i am taken aback and in situations like that i just freeze sort of so i say, sir we're still inside you need to wear your mask. also our stacks are closed to patrons. at that point he just pulls out his library employee tag he'd had in his pocket and looks at me like i'm the asshole. i'm like ok and go sit back down. and now i'm just stewing on it. i know that's not really healthy to stew like that but i don't want to confront him. but like, wtf. he should know better. /end rant
