The Ramble Chronicles I

~mouse

Walks up to the bar, gives Smudge a
scritch while pouring a cuppa from the
ever full and hot teapot, then drops a
number of sugar cubes in.

After some 27 months of home working I had a day off 'alone'. I have had time off during that time - don't worry - but this was the first in a long, long time I was 'home alone'.

Boy did it feel weird.

Bless "She Who Must Be Obeyed" did not leave a long list of chores, I think she knows I am bit fried from work.

Maybe my brain / mind needed the down time. 6 hours gone with nothing to show.

Back to work on the morrow. And me boss is on holiday for 2 and a half weeks...

Is "pre-stress" a thing?

You all be well!

Walks out the door carrying the cup.
Walks back in and puts the cup down
on the bar. Scritches Smudge again.
Trys to walk out hoping no one noticed

Just a quickie on "She Who Must Be Obeyed"....

I'm somewhere between six and seven years into my second marriage, and must say that even though I feel similarly at times, I marvel in what I'll call the "Buddhist non-attachment" benefits of putting more effort into trying to grasp my wife's point of view, especially in light of how surprisingly frequently she's not been so much "right", but either "right enough", or <gasp> mapped out directions surprisingly beneficial to my life.
