I was browsing Gopher for a few days, and I don't understand people who say that Gemini is useless as Gopher exists. Don't get me wrong, Gopher is cool in its own way, but it's quite difficult to browse it, mainly because of the lack of true hyperlinks and absence of textual adaptation to the screen. I don't think I could stay on Gopher as much as I stay on Gemini.

The French presidential election was despairing from the beginning of the campaign to the results. But it looks like the left parties, from the communists to the center-left socialist party finally understood that they had things in common. The way is narrow, as the spirit of the institutions is that the newly (re)elected president has to have a majority, and that the French people until now respected this spirit. But the way exists, it is possible that the future government would be left leaning, and that small possibility pitifully seems to be enough to excite me 😅.

I don't know how to interpret the fact that HaikuOS' official repositories have two different Gemini browser (Lagrange and Kristall). I have some fun with this OS on a VM, it's at the same time familiar (I don't feel the same estrangement as when I first tried Linux) and unfamiliar.

I installed CalyxOS on my Pixel 3a, a few days ago, and I lost my Station certificate in the process (I forgot to save it 😅). It was ridiculously easy to install, and, for now, I'm very happy. My only problem is that I learnt in the process that Google will stop to support the Pixel 3a in May. Calyx will follow closely. My device perfectly works, it's infuriating to see this planned obsolescence, even more so when we know that 75% of the co2 emissions of a smartphone are due to its production and transport to the first customer…
