Currently I have 2 Android phones. One of them is for work and the other is for personal use. I first became interested in the Android phone when I attended the Google I/O conference in 2009 where they handed out early Android phones to all attendees. I was thrilled and became an Android Fan.
Lately however, I have decided that Android has become much too popular. As a result, Android allows companies to take advantage of people and I no longer want to support it.
I have been keeping an eye on the few phones that come with Linux. I have been most interested in the Pine64 phones especially because their price is very appealing. So far the reports of poor performance have kept me from purchasing one.
Today however, I found the following article on the PinePhone Pro which is a new release.

Many of the specs are better than their other versions of the pine phone so I am going to watch this one even closer and probably pick one up after their 2nd or 3rd release.
I know many of their earlier reported problems are the result of software however I believe that a phone with higher specs will provide better chances of this being what is referred to as a "primary driver".
