Rosemary-garlic monkey bread with cream of tomato soup

This week was quite a fancy one! I made a large pan of monkey bread with minced garlic and fresh rosemary & parsley from the garden. Some guests came over and we shared it over an incredible cream of tomato soup. There was great food all around, and it was a shining example of the stability and happiness that strong community can bring to anyone's life. The recipe was my own modification from a cookbook that my family has had for ages.

Savory herbal scones

These took much less time and effort to make than the monkey bread; they are just scones after all! A friend made a visit and, mid-conversation, mentioned that they had never thought of using dill in baked goods, so I had to whip up one of my favorite recipes including it. I was glad for the occasion, because it was a recipe I absolutely love but hadn't made in months.
