congrats on your winnings, and on your house ventures. I too, one day, perchance, seek to dream, to be the sole proprietor, of the domicile that I would be living in.
As time goes on, this dream slips away. Oh sure, new stuff is being built, but demand remains the same. I'm looking into housing associations at the moment as the ultimate fallback. That or 3D printing takes everyone by storm and bursts this horrible bubble

Thanks!
Kind of miraculously, we managed a $230 win a couple nights ago.
See, we used to play more.. and then we got busy with other things.. then COVID happened... so the casino's infinite wisdom had them spotting my wife $115 per week in March to coax us back, and well, a little luck with such a donation and quitting ahead is "all" it takes....
(FWIW, that casino is visible from the front window of our original domicile in this area - in fact, one of the reasons I wanted the place (see also: "How cool is it to have a casino in the front window? Huh? Huh?!!").)

You write way too well for it not to happen. ;-)
I wasn't super able to imagine having the resources to do such when I was younger. But staying somewhat conservative for a couple decades made it possible despite an expensive divorce along the way.
I've kind of clung to an image of a bucket in need of both input and the stoppage of unnecessary leakage to fill.
