Thanks. I'm having doubts about WordPress. Doing everything through a web app is slow, and while it's nice to get the occasional visitor from WordPress.com, the Jetpack plug is obnoxious about upselling, it's a pain to have to moderate comments since 99.999% are from right-wing trolls, and I'm getting at least five brute-force attempts a day. I haven't been cracked yet since I'm careful about keeping my stack up to date, but it's just a matter of time before I get sloppy.

Also, looking at the source for my WordPress theme so I can customize it reminds me of why I started using static generators in the first place.

On the upside, I figured out how to get Ruby, ruby gems, and bundler working properly (and installing gems in my home directory) on OpenBSD, so Jekyll's an option again.
