Recently a proposal has been floated for Gemini sites to add a security.txt -- it is often impossible to get a hold of people. It is even more frustrating to be unable to reach the sysadm of a public system.
The Spartan server -- the only public Spartan server I know of -- stopped sending my files (and the files of all Spartans on tilde.team). The root page works fine, and even provides links to all the user pages there. But none of the links work.
I love tildes, and truly appreciate the hard work that goes into maintaining a complex system with tons of users. But is it really so hard to provide contact information? I tried emailing root@tilde.team, the email address of the person who greeted me upon signup, and every other email I could find.
I then tried the less obvious talk, examined /etc/issue, /etc/motd, looking at passwd file, but no luck.
I developed Spellbinding on tilde.team originally, but someone was really whacking the CPU and disk on the server to the point it became impossible to log in for days at a time, and I had to scramble out of there (I could not contact tilde team then, either). Recently I found the Spartan server there and was really excited to go back to using tilde.team... Gah.
Please, if you are running a tilde, provide a way for us users to report problems.
P.S. I don't have enough skills/time/patience to safely administer my own public-facing server, and would love to collaborate with someone who does. Cool services and software shall exist on your server (with minimal impact as I am a true minimalist and anally instrument my code).
