Potion projects
‘Potions’ is our term for tincture mixtures (sometimes called ‘formulations’).
- To be determined: Does it make a difference if you extract the herbs together, rather than mixing individual tinctures?
The below are based on exploratory dives on pubmed, chasing one effect or another:
- Sleep potion: melissa, valeriana, chamomile.
- Sleep interestingly potion: the above plus mugwort, wormwood, snowdrop, and (for ~nice~ dreams) sage or lavender.
- Eurogirl transpotion: red clover, nettles, hops, milk thistle, liquorice.
- Eat more potion: chamomile, blessed thistle, gentian, liquorice, ginger.
- Milky Mom potion: blessed thistle, fennel, fenugreek, nettles, raspberry leaf.
- (non-Euro) Girldick potion (testosterone-free): any 3, 5 or 7 of: fenugreek, meadow sage, saffron, date pollen, horny goat weed, Mongolian milkvetch, maca, panax ginseng, yohimbe (avoid: velvet bean, Tribulus, tongat ali)
Notes on ingredients
- Nettles block 5α-reductase; the effect is stronger as tincture.
- Traditional consumption of fenugreek for breasts is as sprouted seeds.
- Snowdrop is toxic in high doses.
