Why did I name this thing uvula.space? I don't know. When I first heard
about Gemini, I reserved a bunch of .space domains for it. This one was
the silliest, so it stuck.
I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with this thing yet.
I'm just a middle aged guy living in the northeast corner of the United
States, in a small city called Portland, Maine. Like most people on
Gemini, I'm a software developer (nowadays mostly Python and Android,
but I did a lot of Ruby, Javascript, Java, and even C++ and assembly
in my day). I also do some software engineering management. Perhaps
that's why I'm hacking stuff like this in my free time... I kinda miss it.
In my free time I'm active in leftist politics, play some guitar, and
do other mundane stuff you probably don't want to hear about.
I'd like to build a Gemini server of my own. Right now I'm using
Jetforce. Or maybe a client. Perhaps when I'm done building Gopher
servers. And client. It's a shame that there are only so many hours in a day.
I have a bunch of blog posts out on the web that are formatted in
Markdown and hosted on Github Pages with Octopress/Jekyll, so one of
these days I'll write a script that converts them to be displayed
here I guess?
Medusae.space, a directory of Gemini stuff.

The guy who built the server this runs on has a lot of cool content.
The guy who built the prettiest Gemini client.
My home page on the web, a sad and derelict blog.
Right now I'm building Gopher servers in my free time! That's part of what attracted me to Gemini.
