Last week was the beginning of December, the month of advent calendars and Christmas tree!
My partner and I decided to re-use the formula of last year which was pretty enjoyable for our big advent calendar: we alternate days, so it's either small gift day or craft beer day (we bought a beer calendar in a local shop).
We also restarted our push-up routine, and try to do it every day _before_ opening the calendar. In this lockdown time where gyms are closed, it can't harm.
As a sweet bonus, we also have two cholocate advent calendars...
We bought our Christmas tree this week. Obviously it didn't fit in its log hole, so I had to buy a chisel to reduce the trunk. It is relatively small (my size), but still occupy a fair amount of space in our living room. Apparently, not using ALL of our tree decoration is not an option. I'm not sure we'll manage that in a few years. Maybe I'll have to sneakily put some... away.
We had a lovely time doing that, and the result is christmassy and warming.
We ate most of that Thanksgiving food for the most part of the week. It was excellent, but I don't want poultry, stuffing or turkey soup anymore - and that for a while. It's currently pretty cold in France, so I think this week will be a perfect time for Tartiflette!
Spend some time this week on advent of code, which is fun but in the end not very productive. Maybe I'll stop if the puzzles becomes too time consuming.
I have started to write a static generator for this Gemini capsule. It's annoying having to copy paste links, and update indexes every time. I'd like to have a quick & dirty but working version this week. In the meantime, my React / AdonisJS other project is on hold.
I'm way behind on my open-source projects, but I don't really plan to work on it this week either.
I'm still enjoying Apex Legends, even if I'm not really good at it.
I started to play Total War: TROY, and even though Troy did kick my ass twice (both in solo and coop), it's a pretty good Total War. Especially considering I got it for free on release day on Epic Store.
