I had originally set myself a goal of reducing my body weight to 200 pounds by the first of August. Without a radical (and probably unhealthy) push, that seems unlikely to happen at this point. But I can adjust that goal slightly to make it more realistic.
I've mentioned before that my next phone is going to be the F(x)tec Pro1 X. The company ran into a production issue in late January, and according to their IndieGoGo campaign page, the phone is not due to start shipping in August. However, it might be quite a while before my particular phone is shipped--F(x)tec converted all existing orders for the original Pro1 to Pro1 X orders, and they have since clarified that those orders will be fulfilled before the IGG orders.
F(x)tec is also rather notorious for shipping delays. The reason existing Pro1 customers are being prioritized is that some of them have been waiting almost a year for their orders. I see no reason for the company's delivery schedule to improve this time around, especially with the strain COVID-19 has put on the world's supply chain and logistics systems.
That means I could realistically be waiting until October or November until my Pro1 X arrives, and there's a possibility it might not even come until 2022. In the interim, however, there's no reason for me to sit on my laurels and do nothing.
My new goal for weight loss is to reach 200 pounds by the time my Pro1 X arrives. That's a moving target, but that fact gives me all the more reason not to dawdle. When I have a deadline months in the future, I tend to procrastinate until I find myself in a severe time crunch. With an uncertain delivery date--the phone could arrive in August, or it could arrive in January--I can't prepare ahead of time, so I need to get started now.
My biggest issue with weight loss recently is that I've been eating a lot of sweets and I haven't been as driven to exercise. That needs to change. There have been some happy moments and some scary moments in my life recently, but I can't linger on those things. I need to move on and continue to push myself to be the best I can be.
If you want to follow my weight loss journey, I have a CSV file in the "Files" section of my capsule that tracks my weight. You can download that sheet and shake your head in pity at my lack of progress. That sense of embarrassment will probably motivate me too!
