I can't think of a single game as timeless. I think I started playing way back in the beta 1.2 days... so 10 years ago? Back then a friend got a hold of me and said he had found this sweet game called Minecraft. He sent me a cracked launcher and as soon as I started playing I could tell it was something unique. A lot of my time was spent playing on a home hosted server with a few friends making fun primitive builds.
I would stop playing it at some point but always come back. A few years later I started home hosting a server again and this time invited some people from school. Years after that I hosted a LAN server for my roommates and I. Recently I've been playing on a server with some other Fediverse people. It's a great time every time.
Probably the only other multiplayer games that come close to Minecraft for me are Counter Strike Source and 1.6. Those are still LAN party staples to this day.
