I am what you would call "programming interested" not a "programmer" and while I have been muddling through learning C for a few months now I decided to give python a look for fun.
Literally one book later I had the skills required to start making thinks. Which was nice.
So with that in mind. I created a Discord bot. I mean, I say "I created a discord bot" but the reality here is that I cobbled together commands based on the heavy lifting done by the excellent Discord.py framework (is framework the right word?) From what I understand that's how most Python programs are though so *shrug* I guess.
If you want to look at my amateurish and janky code you can do so here:
RobotSnake on my Git instance.
I tried to keep it as simple as I could at there are some things I know I need to fix/change but it works!
If anyone is curious about my book. It was PYTHON:
Title: Crash Course Written by: Eric Matthes Printed by: No Starch press ISBN: 978-1-59327-928-8
I will be writing a book club post about it soon.
