Programming with Parentheses

By Jeremiah Stoddard on January 8, 2022

A person joined #commonlisp on libera.chat a few days ago. Despite being new to Common Lisp, this person jumped right into the deep end, exploring the internals of the Metaobject Protocol (MOP) and a bunch of other advanced topics. That really impressed me. I have dabbled on and off in Common Lisp over a few years now, and I still haven't dug into MOP or most of the advanced features of the language. Heck, I can barely write a macro! I just like simple programming with parentheses.
