Inexperienced eaters will require some practice before they learn to handle the
volcanic temperatures of a proper bowl of ramen. Waiting for it to cool,
though, will prove an unnerving experience for both you and the chef. The only
way forward is to abandon western decorum and embrace the slurp, the calculated
introduction of air that cools the noodles upon entry. A ramen shop in full
feast mode sounds like a car vacuum suctioned against your front seat.
