I recently started journaling in order to have a backlog of the things I do and to improve my writing skills. Whenever I feel unproductive, I can now read through it and reflect back on things, which makes me feel better most of the time. But I was surprised to experience that the greatest benefit for me is, that writing my thoughts down helps me tremendously to think through things very deeply. Whenever I write down what I mull over, I feel that I have said everything I have to say. Which, in return, lets me tackle other tasks with an unoccupied mind.
Time will tell, if I am able to establish a regular writing habit. But as long as I’ll keep it up, I’m happy to share my thoughts in this gemlog.
Since the lockdown I am much more active on the fediverse, which helped a lot coping with isolation. So as long as I work in permanent home office, I’ll probably vent here what occupies my mind. This will also be a relief for my family, because listening to my metaphilosophical ideas all day it is honestliy too much to ask from them.
See you around,
