I took the bees another kilogram of sugar for Sunday lunch. They had taken about two-thirds of the kilogram we left them two days ago. This means they're feeding at a rate of about 300g per day on top of their foraging! Hopefully this means they'll have enough stores for winter.
It was a warm day today with periods of sunshine. About fifty bees were buzzing around at the front of the hive. At first I thought they were waiting to get in but there was plenty of room in the reduced entrance block.
